Thai Bui was born in Ha Noi Vietnam in 1960. Thai received his BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1988 and his MFA from Stanford University in 1992. In addition, Bui attended the Skowhegan Summer Residency in 1987 and again in 2021. His work has been exhibited internationally and is in several collections including San Jose Museum of Art and The Hechinger Collection.
